Universal Industrial plants Mfg. Co. Pvt. Ltd. in technical collaboration with ING. L. & A. BOSCHI of ITALY manufactures, supplies and exports acetylene plants since 1985. Under the guidance of Dr. Boschi of Italy, our company designs and develops the plants in sync with the international standards and ISO norms. The Boschi technology is worldwide popular since 1930 due to its a number of features such as reliability, functionality and durability.

Our company commenced manufacturing of acetylene producing plants at its production unit in New Delhi in 1985. The designs and drawings along with the technology of our plants were based on the process cycle of Linde & Claude which had been incepted by Dr. Boschi of Italy through its company ING. L. & A. Boschi of Italy. Our latest achievement is CE certification for quality meaning we are approved to supply our products and services in the USA and European countries.

The acetylene plant manufactured and exported by our company performs exceptionally and is available with different capacity that range from 25 m3/hour to 100 m3/hr. We fabricate acetylene plants, which are of sturdy and popular for error free working. We use only flame proof lights and electrical fittings according to CE so as to make the plants authentic and reliable. In addition, the design & drawing along with technology of the entire plant has been fabricated keeping in mind safety.

Description of the Plant

Maximum Capacity Acetylene Plants
Acetylene generator (medium pressure) is worldwide popular for comprising of a twin Hooper, including:
Agitator and its drive unit
Carbide Hooper screw feeder and its drive
Flash back arrestor
Safety relief valves drain system & the automatic controls system

Our acetylene generators are made by using five safety valves. One is fitted on the gas outlet frame, one of each of the flash arrestors and one on each of the carbide Hooper. The bottom of the generator is fitted with an air-operated drain valve which discharge slurry in response to the slurry level is high. There is a water inlet valve, which opens in response to the temperature of the slurry.

Cooler Condenser
The cooler condenser cools down the acetylene gas having the generator, which is hot and loaded down with moisture and other gaseous impurities.

Low Pressure Dryer
This is a pressure vessel charged with solid anhydrous carbide which consumes the moisture in the gas.

This is a large vessel provided with two sectors by wire mesh frame network. Each section by wire mesh frame work. Each sectors are charged with purifying mass which absorbs gases like hydrogen sulphide, phosgene etc.

Ammonia Scrubber
This equipment has a vertical vessel filled with a level gauge and water make-up line. A particular as marked on the level indicator has to be maintained. The ammonia scrubber all the water soluble impurities like ammonia.

Acetylene Compressor
The acetylene compressor is a three stage machine which is immersed in water filled tank to avoid any pressurized gas to come in contact with air and also to make sure that all the components are continuously cooled. The compressor is drawn by flame proof motor from outside the tank.

High Pressure Dryer
The high pressure dryer consists of three columns. ScrubberThe first column is filled with packing to avoid any void and for proper mixing and the second and third are filled with anhydrous calcium chloride.

Filling Manifold
The acetylene gas manifold consists of two headers fitted with non-return valves, one flash back arrestors, pressure gauge and manual isolation valves.

Acetone Pump
Acetone pump is supplied along with the Plants for charging acetone in cylinders.

Automatic Controls of Acetylene Generator
a) Temperature cum water inlet control. b) High temperature alarm. c) Level cum slurry discharge control. d) Level alarm. e) Pressure controls. f) Control of high temperature. g) Control of high level.

Level Controls
Level controller is maintaining a particular level in the generator. If the level is above normal, water can enter the carbide hop.

Level Alarm
The pressure inside the acetylene generator is controlled by a meteoroid switch.

Pressure Alarm
This is the important part for the safety of this plant. A pressure switch is connected to the alarm system.
